Chief Theatre is reopening with a commitment to the health and safety of our patrons and volunteers following the requirements of the State of Florida and recommendations from the CDC. We thank you for your support of the arts through the years and while we have been on hiatus. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Robin Hood

Chief Theatre presents Robin Hood and His Merry Men opening January 8 where the a comedic retelling of this classic tale. In this story, Prince John has decreed that the citizens of Nottingham pay weekly taxes or face the penalty of death. His decrees are enforced by the evil Sheriff of Nottingham. The citizens think that all hope is lost until they hear word of a noble hero, Robin Hood of Locksley. Robin Hood, with the help of his merry men (which are mostly girls) rob from the rich, give to the poor, and save the fair Maid Marian. This comic retelling of the story includes thumb wars, missed cues, and a slow motion fight.

If you are looking for a good time, full of laughter to lighten your spirits, you won’t want to miss this! Join us in Sherwood Forest! Show dates 2021 are January 8 (Fri), January 9 (Sat), January 10 (Sun) and January 15 (Fri), January 16 (Sat) and January 17 (Sun). Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 pm with Sunday performances at 2:00 pm at the Chief Theatre on 25 East Park Avenue in Chiefland, FL. Click here for more information.
