A Streetcar Named Desire

Director: Andy Kidd

The Suwannee Valley Players presents A Streetcar Named Desire, opening March 4th and running through March 13th -- Fridays/Saturdays 8pm, Sundays 2pm.

This classic drama unfolds with Blanche, a woman whose life has been undermined by her romantic illusions, which lead her to reject — so far as possible — the realities of life with which she is faced and which she consistently ignores. The pressure brought to bear upon her by her sister, Stella, with whom she goes to live in New Orleans, intensified by the earthy and extremely "normal" young husband of the latter, leads to a revelation of her tragic self-delusion and, in the end, to madness.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors, students and military with ID. Call Becky Gill at 352-443-9096 to reserve your tickets or you can purchase at The Gathering Table in Chiefland or Point of View Antiques in Fanning Springs.
