Welcome

Angel Street

AngelStreet

Get your reservations now for the Chief Theatre and Suwannee Valley Players latest production Angel Street, a drama by Patrick Harrison produced by special arrangement with Samuel French Inc. A Broadway hit first produced under the title Gaslight that later on became a film, Angel Street tells the story of the Manninghams set in 19th century London. The Manningham's relationship is less than ideal as Mr. Manningham tries to convince his wife that she is going insane. This is from where the term "gaslighting" originates. Along with the help of an intuitive Scotland Yard Inspector Rough, Mrs. Manningham is able to regain her confidence. Together they take on her diabolical husband as the story unfolds. Join us to find out how this tale ends!

In addition to a great play, you will also be supporting a great cause. The Suwannee Valley Players will be donating half of their net profits to Another Way domestic violence and rape crisis center. We will also have information available about Another Way as October is domestic violence awareness month. The show dates are October 20, 21, 27 and 28 at 7:30pm and October 22 and 29 at 2:00pm.

You can also reserve seats by calling the Chief Theatre at 352-493-ARTS. We look forward to seeing you there.
