Suwannee Valley Players presents Smoke on the Mountain, a Musical Comedy conceived by Alan Bailey based on the book by Connie Ray. Music arrangements by Mike Craver and Mark Hardwick. This fun show takes the audience into the 1930’s Southern Gospel music scene through the lives of the Sanders Family at a Gospel sing in a little church in the Smoky Mountains. Join us September 30 - October 16, 2016 where comedy and inspiration come together in this musical presented by special arrangement with Samuel French.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors, students and military with ID. We will have an open box office available at the Chief Theatre to reserve, pick up or purchase tickets for our upcoming gospel musical Smoke On The Mountain. A delightful musical about a Saturday night sing set in the Smokey Mountains. Box office times are:

Eclipsed: An Interactive Dinner Theatre

This mystery/comedy invites you to become celebrated guests of Lord and Lady Moon at the coveted Annual Moonlight Masquerade Charity Gala. When a diamond Tiffany necklace scheduled to be auctioned off at the event mysteriously disappears, it becomes cleat that someone present isn’t quite what or who they appear to be. But things take a decidedly sinister turn as member of the entourage turn up quite indubitably irrevocably dead. Could one of the remaining blue-bloods be responsible? Could someone in the audience help solve these heinous crimes? Can the crime be solved, or will the entire evening be "Eclipsed"?

We will be looking for 3 adult men and 3 adult women for this play. Audition date will be Saturday Oct 8 at 10 am. Show date will be December 31st. If you are interested but unable to attend this audition please contact Janice Grant at for alternatinve audition information.

The Wizard of Oz

Announcing auditions for the classic story, Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. This is the story of Dorothy Gale and her dog Toto and the adventures they have when she is hit on the head during a tornado. You’ll meet the Scarecrow looking for a brain, the Cowardly Lion looking for courage and the Tin Man looking for a heart. Together they will attempt to out wit the wicked witch to make it to Oz to see the Wizard so Dorothy can return home. We will be looking for 14-25 people, 6-10 males aged 15 and up for the roles of leads and chorus and 4-10 females aged 15 and up for the roles of leads and chorus and 4 children male or female to play munchkins. Open auditions – Oct 10 6:30 and Oct 15 at 1 pm

Chiefland Christmas Festival

SVP will be performing at the Chiefland Christmas Festival on December 10 at 11am - 1pm. Look for us at the mainstage delivering monologues and skits, singing our favorite songs of the season, reading classic Christmas tales.

Old Fashioned Caroling

You will find SVP at the Putnam Lodge on December 17. Rumor has it that Santa will be visiting the Lodge at 6pm, and there will be hot chocolate, hot cider, cookies and snacks. Christmas music will follow at 7pm. Visit Putnam Lodge for a nostalgic Christmastime evening with sparkling lights and beautiful renditions of your favorite carols!
